Face blur, explained
Does my video get uploaded?
No. The editor reads and processes the selected video in your browser. The face detection model and application files are downloaded from this site.
Can I choose which faces to blur?
Yes. After analysis, each detected face track appears in a list. You can turn a track off before exporting.
Can I pixelate a video instead of blurring it?
Yes. Choose pixelation, Gaussian blur, or a solid black cover. You can also change the mask shape, padding, and strength.
Will every face always be covered?
Automatic detection can miss faces, especially at unusual angles or in difficult lighting. Watch the preview and check the exported video before sharing it.
Which browsers work?
The current editor is built for desktop Chrome and Edge. Video decoding and encoding support also depend on the source file and browser.
Can I blur a license plate or another object?
The current editor detects faces. Manual masks for license plates and other areas are planned but are not available yet.
